PREACHING

At Fisherville, we believe expository preaching is the best practice. Our pastors seek to faithfully communicate the main point of any given passage, while practically applying it to our lives. Most often, you will hear sermons that preach through entire books of the Bible. We find that this is the most faithful way to preach the whole counsel of God (Acts 20:27).

Worship

Every Sunday, we meet together to worship the Triune God at 10:45. During this time we strive to build one another up with singing, expository preaching, public reading of Scripture, corporate prayer, and partaking in the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. In all of these things, we strive to make the gospel of Jesus Christ clear and central.

We recognize that the value of regular corporate worship is not merely encouragement for the week ahead. Rather, we believe that God uses the consistent gathering of the saints as a means of grace to grow us in love for and dependence on him throughout the whole course of our lives.
