What an honor to
be serving as the Interim Pastor of
The First Baptist Church of
Fisherville! My wife, Becky, and I sense the
Savior's hand in directing us to this wonderful church. What a
privilege to preach the Word of God on my first Sunday!
"The primary job of an interim pastor is to prepare the congregation
for the next pastor and the changes that come with him. This will
include processes that build unity, heal hurts, encourage, promote
reconciliation, and generate excitement. " I must admit, my first
few days have been wonderfully hectic as I have participated in a
plethora of meetings with various committees, staff members and
individuals. Becky and I are already touched by FBC members’ love
for our Lord, passion for His Church and generosity expressed
toward us.
May the Lord "order our steps" together as we seek to exalt His name
and advance His Kingdom.
