Each Wednesday FBCF Children’s ministry offers a class for children age 4 – 5th grade. This class is taught by Pastor Brian and Mrs. Heather Payne. The curriculum they are teaching is entitled “Children Desiring God”.
Our aim is to communicate to children a vision of God, who He is, and who we are in relation to Him, and to establish them with a foundation of doctrine and truth. We want them biblically grounded, seeing God as the hero of every story, with a God-centered world view and a faith that will hold them when the days of testing come. We want them to love the Lord their God with all their heart, and to delight in Him forever. This curriculum teaches how we are to exalt God—to show Him as a great and almighty God. In every lesson, Scripture will be studied in the context of the question, “What does this say about God?” Our children can handle deep truth at a young age. We want to fill them with solid Bible truth that will give them a foundation to fall back on when they go through deep waters. For this reason, the curriculum will continually refer children to the Word of God; Bibles are an essential tool for children studying Children Desiring God curriculum. (Please have them bring one.) Your children will also be learning through songs and Bible verse memory. Pastor Brian and Mrs. Heather are very excited about this class and teaching essential Bible truths! Class meets in the Children’s Room every other Wednesday at 7:00 P.M.
CHOIR
Every other Wednesday night kids can come sing with Mrs Heather. We are currently working on a song to perform at the Upward halftime, and a musical with our VBS theme.
